to know
As it is a semi-permanent technique (not a tattoo), we recommend annual touch-ups (12–18 months), or as needed depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and professional evaluation. We follow up 30 days after your initial session to check how your healing is progressing and to assess whether any adjustment is needed. If necessary, the touch-up is scheduled within 4 to 6 weeks after the first appointment, with a cost of $100. We also have other touch-up categories available depending on timing and individual needs.
Each artist has a different technique and design approach, which means we cannot follow or recreate a new shape over an existing work. In most cases, the safest recommendation is to first remove the previous pigment with laser, allow the skin to fully heal, and then proceed with a Nanoblading procedure.
This is a very common concern, but Microblading does not cause the natural eyebrow hairs to fall out. The procedure works superficially on the skin to implant pigment and does not damage the hair follicle itself. Your natural hair growth cycle continues normally after healing. What some clients notice is a temporary shedding phase that can happen during skin recovery, but this is part of the natural renewal process and not related to permanent hair loss. Once healed, the result is designed to blend with your existing eyebrow hairs, enhancing fullness and definition without interfering with their growth.
At Holga Prado Beauty, the experience goes beyond the procedure itself. It is a carefully guided appointment focused on comfort, precision, and understanding your expectations to ensure a tailored result. We take time for a detailed facial assessment, measurements, design mapping, numbing application, and the Microblading procedure itself. On average, the full appointment takes around 2 hours.
Yes, in many cases scars can be camouflaged with Microblading, but the approach depends on the type, age, and texture of the scar. Scar tissue reacts differently from healthy skin, which means the traditional hair stroke technique is not always the safest or most effective option, as pigment retention can be unpredictable in those areas. In these situations, we often recommend a shading technique, which help create a softer, more even coverage and improve overall density while blending the scar naturally into the brow design. Each case is evaluated individually to choose the most suitable technique and ensure a balanced, natural-looking result.
It is a very tolerable procedure. In fact, many clients even fall asleep during the session. This comfort is possible because we use a strong numbing product, which makes the experience significantly more comfortable from start to finish.
Microblading uses a regular blade that creates thicker strokes, which can result in a more marked and less refined appearance over time. Nanoblading, on the other hand, uses an ultra-fine blade that allows us to replicate individual hair strokes with precision. The result is a stroke that mimics the natural eyebrow hair seamlessly, blending perfectly with your existing brows. This creates a more delicate, natural and realistic finish.
Clients usually go through the healing process very smoothly, which is a reflection of how delicate the technique is. Right after the procedure, your brows will appear more intense, but this is temporary. It does not interfere with your daily routine, and most clients feel completely comfortable continuing their normal activities. This initial intensity naturally softens during the healing process.
Makeup should be avoided on the eyebrow area during the healing period, especially within the first 7 days. This is essential to allow proper skin recovery and pigment retention.
Yes. If no regular touch-ups or maintenance sessions are performed, the pigment will gradually fade over time and eventually disappear completely from the skin.
